How Do I Purchase a 结婚证书?

The 婚姻部门 is open by appointment only.

Please contact the Clerk's office at (775) 887-2084 to schedule an appointment.

Process to Obtain a 结婚证书

要获得 结婚证书, please follows these steps:

Call for an appointment at 775-887-2084. Appointments are weekdays only.
The Clerk’s office will send you an email confirming your appointment providing the 结婚证书应用程序 and additional instructions.
费用是100美元.00 ($85 marriage license, $15 certified copy of recorded marriage certificate). 支付ment may be made using cash or credit/debit card (VISA or MC credit/debit card only). Credit card transactions will incur a 3% transaction fee. Credit cards cannot be processed after 4 pm. 检查不会被接受.
You will be required to provide your original photo identification at the time you appear for your appointment. We cannot accept an expired ID. Acceptable forms of identification are listed below:

How Do I Record My 婚姻 Certificate?

Within 10 days after the marriage ceremony, the officiant is responsible to deliver or mail the completed marriage certificate to the County Clerk's office. The certificate is then recorded, a certified copy is prepared, and the certified copy is mailed to the address indicated on the license. This is included in the $100.00 fee to purchase a marriage license. Instant recordings of your marriage certificate are available 5 days a week at no extra charge.
